The Small System Disinfection Kit

To help our clients meet the requirements of ACoP L8, in cleaning and disinfecting hot and cold water systems, we have introduced Sterisys, a special disinfection kit. User friendly, they are designed to disinfect systems of up to 2000 litres at the correct Chlorine level, test to prove the disinfection has worked and provide a permenant record of the process in the form of a certificate.

The kit contains the following items:

Full instructions for using the kit.
Disinfection Tablets to treat 2000 litres of water.
Chlorine level test kit, to confirm that the disinfectant level in the water is correct.
COSHH data sheet.
A bacteria test slide to show that the work has been completed correctly.
A proforma certificate to form a permenant record of the work done.

Dipslides (bacteria test slides) are used to test for any bacteria by dipping a sensitive slide into the water and then cultivating it in a warm environment for 2 days. Any bacteria in the liquid sampled shows up as red dots. The number of red dots indicates the degree of infection and the level of precautions to be taken.
